About Us

Hello there, we are Marjorie & Luca - an American and Italian couple - and Bauana Hygge is our family business based in the United States.

It all started in 2014 with Bauana Naturals (as part of The Bauana Project), created with the specific goal of helping a small community of underprivileged people. The idea was to sustainably extract raw material from our Carolina Farm, in the Amazon rain forest, to produce high-quality natural and organic skincare products in our US and Canadian suppliers' labs, for the benefit of that community.

We studied the successful journey of the argan-oil production in Morocco, to then try to replicate it as much as possible. And so we did.

Over time though, we noticed there were many other sustainable initiatives worldwide that could flourish if only we - the consumers - could shift our attention in their direction. To the benefit of everyone.

That's why Bauana Hygge was born. From the Mongolian Gobi desert prestigious cashmere; to bamboo extracted from the Amazon rain forest; to anything biodegradable; they're all examples of natural, high-quality sustainability that we decided to sponsor.

We'd be helping those communities just by purchasing what they produce.

This store carries products that, directly or indirectly, contribute to that. Buying here means that customers are contributing to someone else's better life, and contributing to making this a better world for all of us.

And - of course - it's for those who understand not only how to make this a better world, but also how to cherish their own way of living accordingly. They most certainly live the hygge lifestyle, and wellness is their mantra.
